Dr. Scott Farthing is currently Dean of the School of Arts, Media, Performance, and Design at Saddleback College in Orange County, California. Dr. Farthing is a Southern California based conductor, composer, and pianist with over 40 years of professional experience in the world of Vocal Music education, Musical Theatre, Opera, and Choral music. Dr. Farthing has focused his teaching around the central philosophy that music changes lives, creates communities that heal, promotes positive self-reflection, and encourages EVERYONE to make music.
