Katie Richardson

Head of Special Collections and Archives
Cal Poly Pomona

Katie Richardson is the Head of Special Collections & Archives at Cal Poly Pomona (CPP) since 2015 and Department Chair for the University Library since 2021. With over 15 years of experience in archives, records management, and library services, she has demonstrated strong leadership in team building, strategic planning, and project management. Her expertise spans public and private academic sectors, corporate, and cultural heritage settings. She has revitalized programs, developed policies, managed budgets, and fostered donor relations. Katie’s efforts have secured external funding, enhanced archival management, and supported institutional goals. She actively contributes to professional organizations.
