Luiz H. Mendes is the Cataloging Coordinator at California State University, Northridge. Mendes has extensive experience in cataloging and has given presentations and taught workshops on the cataloging code Resource Description and Access in California. Mendes has been actively involved in the profession nationally.. He has served as chair of the California Library Association Technical Services Interest Group. Mendes is also an adjunct faculty member in the UCLA Department of Information Studies, where he has been teaching graduate courses on descriptive and subject cataloging since 2007. Mendes is the current book review editor for Cataloging & Classification Quarterly.
