There are many current initiatives across libraries, archives, and museums to reevaluate descriptive practices in support of ethical and inclusive description. The presenters will discuss their own approaches or initiatives they have been involved in for evaluating descriptive practices across collections as well as potential strategies for catalogers and metadata specialists to incorporate reparative descriptive practices in their work. This program is tailored to catalogers/metadata specialists working with descriptive metadata across collections in all types of libraries.
