Outreach in academic libraries is booming, with many academic spaces looking for dedicated outreach librarians. Outreach in academic spaces is a big, necessary job, and usually only has one or two dedicated staff for the task. Learn more about why outreach positions tend to have high levels of burnout, how administrators and colleagues can help ease that burden, and how to include more staff in the outreach process to help avoid burnout for your outreach staff. We will include examples of why outreach is important in academic spaces, and how other library staff can support outreach efforts at all comfort levels.
