Beatriz Sarmiento

Beatriz Sarmiento is a former director of library services at a public library. Her work in library service spanned 22 years with eleven of those serving as library director and she retired in September of 2022. For the first eleven years, she served as the literacy coordinator before being appointed to Library Services Director. In that role, she got to know not only the literacy needs of the community, but the needs of the community at large. During her tenure as director, Beatriz handled duties including budgets, staffing, supervision, library renovation, and anything each day brought.
