Cindy Mediavilla is a retired public librarian and UCLA lecturer who is now a freelance consultant, author, and independent scholar. Her areas of expertise include the history of California public libraries, outcome-based planning and evaluation, and afterschool homework programs. Cindy was inducted into the California Library Hall of Fame in 2022, CLA Member of the Year in 2014, and served as CLA president in 2001. Her MLS and doctorate in library science are both from UCLA.
