Mattie Taormina

Director

San Francisco, CA

In March 2016, Mattie Taormina became the Director of the Sutro Library in San Francisco. Before that, Mattie worked at Stanford University Special Collections for 10 years as the Head of Public Services and Processing Manuscripts Librarian. She holds a masters degree in Public History from Sacramento State University and an MLIS from San Jose State University. She is the co-editor of the book Using Primary Sources: Hands-On Instructional Exercises and is the Past President for the Society of California Archivists.
