Originally from the Hampton Roads region of Virginia, Jeff grew up going to the Central Library there. While getting his B.A. in Chemistry from UC Berkeley, he started as a student teacher at the Lawrence Hall of Science where he fell in love with informal education. There he taught a variety of hands-on science curriculum, including biology, math, physics, chemistry, astronomy, and more. He's taught in every setting including library programming. In 2016, he joined JPL where he uses his expertise to better serve informal educators worldwide, helping museums, libraries, and others inspire their communities to wonder about the universe.
