How to Create Safe and Inviting Conversation Classes for ESL/ELL Students

Many immigrants and refugees struggle with learning a new language and adapting to the new environment. Language learning classes can be daunting for them because they have to learn all the language skills at the same time, yet they have to learn how to speak as soon as possible for their daily lives such as making appointments, receiving their licenses, taking care of their families' necessities, etc. Therefore, conversation classes become useful and practical to them in order to learn how to understand and speak the new language faster. This session will help ESL instructors and tutors develop conversation classes that are engaging, energetic, and functional for the students and give them the important skills to communicate and motivate them to dive more into language learning and developing their other language skills on a timely manner.
