Director, Library Services Braille Institute of America Los Angeles, CA
Did you know that every state has a free talking book and braille library to serve the print-disabled? In California, four such libraries serve patrons with low vision or blindness, reading disabilities, (i.e. dyslexia), or who struggle to comfortably hold a book. Let’s partner! We love collaborating with libraries –public, academic, school---helping you support eligible patrons once large print isn't big enough or they need assistive technology to keep reading and engage with books in a new way. Together we can boost your libraries' outreach to underserved communities and promote disability visibility. We provide broad collections of free reading materials in alternate formats, offering existing and prospective patrons the chance to be lifelong readers.
