Are you interested in starting a successful Open Mic event at your library? Please join us! Your hosts will be Donald Hilliard, Jr. and Jon Andersen, who run the popular monthly Open Mic Night at Anaheim’s Central Library. Topics will include how to publicize your event, considerations for pacing and content, and attracting new and exciting contributors every month. They will share how they run their event, what they believe makes it successful, and then open the floor for as many talented participants as time allows. Poets, singers, songwriters, storytellers, comedians, and spectators are all welcome! Open to programming staff, performers, and spectators of all ages. The finale will be a humorous library-themed performance by @AcousticLibrarian. Come share your talent and learn how to help others do the same at Open Mic Night @ CLA 2024!
