Director Community Connections Psychological Associates
The Be Sensitive, Be Brave for Mental Health (BSBB for MH) training infuses culture and diversity throughout a foundational workshop on mental health and mental health conditions. This workshop prepares community members to help friends and loved ones of all ages during times of mental health distress. Participants will learn how to recognize mental health conditions, what to do when someone needs support, and tools for maintaining good mental health and preventing mental health conditions. Diversity considerations are addressed throughout the workshop as we discuss how mental health challenges may look different across cultures.
This session is offered as a preview for library staff interested in becoming BSBB for MH trainers, or in offering BSBB for MH at their libraries. This 3 hour session is offered in both the AM and PM on October 17.
