Imagine a library where community members are active partners in designing the services they use– where their voices are heard, valued, and integrated into the very fabric of library offerings. If this vision excites you, then join us for a program that will explore the power of co-design to transform library services, enhance equity, and alleviate the burden on library workers to have all the answers.
During this session, you will learn more about co-design– what it is (and what it isn't), the principles that define it, and what it looks like in practice. You’ll hear from Catalyst leadership cohort members, who will share their experiences using co-design mindsets and processes in libraries. You'll learn from their successes and gain insights into the challenges they encountered along the way.
Hands-on activities will help you build a co-design mindset and offer practical strategies to start a co-design project of your own.
This program is brought to you by members of the Catalyst leadership cohort. The cohort includes individuals from libraries across California, representing many different positions and perspectives. Together with CALL staff, they will present on the foundations of codesign, drawing from their personal experiences and implementation of co-design strategies.
