When library literacy programs work with adults and their family members, it's best to understand the interests, aspirations, and experiences participants bring to the library. Whether your CLLS family literacy program addresses parents/caregivers and children 0-5, families with older children, or adult learners with other types of family learning interests, you'll have a chance to explore ways to foster discussion with adult learners and promote program participation, engagement, and ownership.
