LA County Library’s Antelope Valley West Bookmobile

This vehicle will be staffed during all official exhibit hours.

LA County Library’s Antelope Valley West Bookmobile travels 400 miles a week while stopping at 13 rural North Los Angeles County community locations. This 29 - foot vehicle has a propane powered engine, a propane generator, rooftop solar panels, and an electric battery. A collection of 2,500 titles, covering the full range of ages and interests, is available to customers. Staff also distribute customer holds, provide COVID19 antigen test kits, lend Chromebooks and MiFi kits, and California State Park Passes. Additionally, staff conduct programs at some sites and drive the vehicle in an annual community parade.
